My Favorite Locations in Utah
Utah is Gorgouse state with such a variety of locations. Here I listed some of my favorite photography locations with photos.
The Great Saltair
This location features a wide open space with areas with tall grass, some rocks, and if you walk far enough out you can get to the beautiful salt lake. The Great Saltair is located in Magna Utah about 15 minutes from Salt Lake City.
Tunnel Springs Park
Tunnel Springs Park is located in north Salt Lake City. This location has a wide open fields and rolling hills of grass.
Big Cottonwood Canyon
Big Cottonwood Canyon is in Salt Lake City. This location features beautiful fields mountains and Pine trees. It is open all year round, but during the snowy season you will need four wheel drive to get up there. The Snow usually takes longer to melt here so snow might still be on the ground until May or possibly June depending on the year.
Salt Lake City Capital Building
This Capital building is so beautiful featuring cool architecture and stairs. The perfect location for indoor and outdoor options. Something else that I love about this building is during early spring it's surrounded by blossom trees. I recommend weekdays here because weekends a packed with people.
Downtown SLC
Downtown SLC it such a cool place if you are wanting a more urban look for your photos. There's so many cool building and architecture to choose from.
The Bonneville Salt Flats
The Bonneville Salt Flats is one my favorite locations. It is a bit of a drive, but is so worth it! The Salt flats is basically a wide open space with a white solid, salty ground. This is such a unique place and looks amazing in photos.
Tibble Fork Reservoir
Tibble Fork Reservoir is a great location because it has such a great variety featuring a lake, mountains, trees and a grassy field. Located up American Fork Canyon.
Utah Lake
Utah Lake in Vinyard is such a beautiful location featuring the lake in the backround. Sometimes during the colder months the lake freezes over creating these cool ice blocks.
Kyhv Peak
Formally known as Squaw Peak Up Provo Canyon is another one of my favorite locations. It's a great place if you are wanting to take photos somewhere with an amazing scenic veiw. Best times of year to take photos here is May-Obtober.
Big Spring Hallow
Big Spring Hallow is another amazing location up Provo Canyon. I love this location because of the big open field with trees and mountains in the background.
The Riverwoods
The Riverwoods in Provo is a nice location because you can get pictures with the buildings and then walk over to the park and get pictures with the trees, bridge and grass. Also During early Spring you can get photos with the blossoms here.
Jolley Ranch
Jolley Ranch is up Hobble Creek Canyon in Springville. I love this location because it has an amazing big white barn, open field, trees and mountains.
Spring Lake
Spring Lake is located in between Payson and Sanatquin. This is such a beautiful location featuring the little lake, trees and the mountains in the backround.
Genola/ Goshen
Genola/Goshen area is a great places because of all the wide open fields. If you drive far enough you can get to the old sinclar and gas station building.
Southern Utah
I love southern Utah because of all the scenic views and gorgous red rocks. There's many national parks to choose from such as Moab, Bryce Canyon, Zion and more!
Little Sahara Sand Dunes
This is such a cool place located in Nephi Utah. I absolutely love taking photos here. It has hills of sand dunes for miles and looks so amazing in photos. This Location can be windy at times and is often more busy on weekends. There's an entrance fee of $18 per vehicle to get in.
Young Living Lavender Farm
The Lavender field in Mona Utah is so beautiful. filled with rows of lavender makes for amazing photos. only available in July. They do charge a $50 fee to take photos here.
The Red Ledges Up Diamond Fork Canyon
This is the perfect location if you are wanting that red rock look in your photos but don't want to travel all the way to southern Utah. Located in Utah County up Spanish Fork Canyon.
Utah Lake Saratoga Springs
Beautiful location with grass and trees and has the view of Utah lake. Located in Saratoga Springs.
Barn in Heber
This barn is located in Heber Utah and has beautiful surroundings of mountains and fields as well.
Stutz Park
This is a park located in Provo Utah. It has lots of trees, open grassy area and a beautiful bush with the orange berries.
Springville Art Museum
Beautiful building with both indoor and outdoor options. There's a fee to do photoshoots here
The Salt Lake City Marriott
This is a fun indoor location to get that vintage vibe in your photos.
